Mr. Reilly teaches middle school math, Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2. He taught math in the classroom from 2007 until 2017.  Now he works as an Instructional & Multimedia Developer at the University of South Florida. Mr. Reilly has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania and a Masters of Arts degree in Teaching from the University of Tampa.

Ellen Armstrong is the owner and operator of Armstrong Tutoring. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from the University of South Florida. Mrs. Armstrong held a Florida Teaching Certificate in Mathematics Grades 6-12, Mathematics Grades 5-9, Elementary Education Grades 1-6, and Gifted Endorsement. She has 7 years experience as a classroom mathematics teacher, 5 years experience as an education consultant, and over 12 years experience as a tutor. As an education consultant she has mentored dozens of classroom teachers, designed and presented numerous inservice workshops for educators, and created curriculum and assessments used in the school system. Mrs. Armstrong’s familiarity with all aspects of education is what allows her to evaluate and recruit the most qualified and effective tutors.

Mrs. Ruiz teaches all levels of Spanish, including AP Spanish. She has been a high school Spanish teacher since 2005. Mrs. Ruiz has a Bachelors degree in Architecture, a Masters degree in Urban Design, and a Masters degree in Applied Linguistics for Teaching Spanish as a Second Language. She has a Florida Professional Teaching Certificate in Spanish Grades 6-12.  Mrs. Ruiz currently teaches Spanish at a high school in Tampa.  She also works as a national grader for the AP Spanish exam.

Mrs. Simsek teaches middle school math, Algebra 1, Math for College Readiness, Algebra 2, Liberal Arts Math, and Advanced Topics. She has been a mathematics teacher since 1993. Her degrees include a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management, a Bachelor of Science is Secondary Mathematics, a Master’s in Instructional Technology, and a Master’s in Educational Leadership, all from the University of South Florida. Mrs. Simsek holds a Florida Professional Teaching Certificate in Mathematics Grades 5-9, Mathematics Grades 6-12, Elementary Education Grades 1-6, and Educational Leadership. She is currently teaching at a high school in Tampa.

Mr. Ferguson teaches Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, Trigonometry, Math Analysis, and Pre-Calculus. He has been a high school math teacher since 2006. Mr. Ferguson has a Bachelor of Science degree in Statistics with a minor in Math from the University of North Florida, a Masters of Business Administration from the University of South Florida, and is currently working toward a Ph.D. in Measurement and Evaluation.  He has a Florida Professional Teaching Certificate in Mathematics Grade 6-12 and currently teaches math courses at a high school in Tampa.

Mr. Wengertsman is one of our Study Skills teachers. For weekly study skills sessions, he teaches students organizational skills, listening & note-taking skills, effective academic reading, test-taking strategies, time management and study skills, including how to study for each type of assessment. His goal is for each student to develop the skills necessary to become responsible, independent, self-sufficient learners. Mr. Wengertsman has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, as well as a Master of Arts degree in Curriculum and Instruction. He has a Florida Professional Teaching Certificate in English Grades 6-12, as well as ESOL and Gifted endorsements.  Mr. Wengertsman has been a classroom teacher since 2006 and is currently teaching at a charter school in Tampa.

Mrs. Robles

Mrs. Simsek

​​​Mrs. Robles teaches Geometry, Math for College Readiness, and Algebra 2. She has been a mathematics teacher since 1995. Mrs. Robles  has a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics Education from the University of Puerto Rico. She holds a Florida Professional Teaching Certificate in Mathematics Grades 6-12. Mrs. Robles is fluent in both English and Spanish.  She is currently teaching mathematics at a high school in Tampa.

Mr. Wiggins teaches all levels of math, including AP Calculus, AP Statistics, and SAT/ACT Math Prep. He has been a high school math teacher since 2002. Mr. Wiggins has a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, a Bachelor of Arts in Religion, and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Florida A & M University.  He holds a Florida Professional Teaching Certification in Mathematics Grades 6-12.  Mr. Wiggins currently teaches math courses at a high school in Tampa.

Mr. Bryson teaches World History, AP World History, and AP Psychology. He has been a classroom teacher since 2006, with experience teaching both locally and overseas. Mr. Bryson has a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Florida, as well as a Juris Doctorate degree from Florida Coastal School of Law.  He has a Florida Professional Teaching Certificate in Social Science Grades 6-12. Mr. Bryson currently teaches social studies courses at a high school in Tampa and has been named Hillsborough County Social Studies Teacher of the Year.

​Ms. Bowden Montero teaches reading, writing, and all language arts courses, including AP Language and Composition. She is also one of our PSAT, SAT and ACT prep tutors. Ms. Bowden Montero has over 35 years of experience teaching all levels of English, as well as speech, reading, and college test prep courses. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Education and a Master of Arts degree in Exceptional Child Education of the Gifted from the University of South Florida. Ms. Bowden Montero holds a Florida Professional Teaching Certificate in English Grades 6-12, and also holds endorsements in gifted education and English Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). She has been named Teacher of the Year at both Hillsborough High School and USF, and has also earned a National Board Teacher Certification in Adolescent and Young Adult Language Arts. Some of her other accomplishments include being a College Board reader/scorer for the AP English Language and Composition exam, a mentor for National Board Certification candidates, a facilitator/presenter at numerous local and state level educational workshops for teachers, a writer for AP Language curriculum, and a supervisor/mentor of many interns and beginning teachers.

Mr. Hannaford teaches all levels of math, including AP Calculus AB. He has been a high school math teacher since 1994. Mr. Hannaford has a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics with a minor in Physics from Worcester State University in Massachusetts and a Masters in Mathematics Education from Widener University in Pennsylvania.  He holds a Professional Teaching Certification from Delaware in Mathematics Grades 6-12 and high school Physics.   Mr. Hannaford is currently a high school math and physics teacher in Tampa.

Mrs. Smith teaches Chemistry. She has been a high school teacher since 2011. Mrs. Smith has a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from the University of South Florida and has a Florida Professional Teaching Certificate in Chemistry Grade 6-12 and General Science Grades 5-9. Mrs. Smith currently teaches science courses at a high school in Tampa.

Mr. Owen teaches Chemistry, AP Chemistry, Biology, and AP Biology. He has been a science teacher since 2011. Mr. Owen has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology. Ms. Kendig teaches middle school science, Biology, Marine Science, AP Biology, and AP Environmental Science. She has been a classroom teacher since 2007. Mr. Stearns has a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Tampa, as well as a Master of Arts degree in History from the University of South Florida.  He has a Florida Professional Teaching Certificate in Social Science Grades 6-12. Mr. Stearns recently retired from teaching at a private high school in Tampa.

Ms. Liccio teaches middle school math, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Liberal Arts Math, and Math for College Readiness.  She has over 55 years experience as a math tutor, 13 years experience as a math teacher, and over 15 years of experience in Administration. Ms. Liccio has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics Education and a Master's degree in Educational Leadership both from the University of South Florida. She also has an Educational Leadership and Mathematics Grades 6-12 Florida Teaching Certificate.

Mr. Pechacek teaches middle school math courses.  He has been a middle school teacher since 2011.  Mr. Pechacek has a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education in Social Studies from the University of Tampa.  He has a Florida Professional Teaching Certificate in Mathematics Grades 5-9, Social Science Grades 6-12, and Exceptional Student Education Grades K-12.  Mr. Pechacek is currently teaching at a middle school in Tampa.

Mr. Wiggins

Ms. Mousseau teaches social studies courses, including AP US History, AP Macroeconomics, and AP Microeconomics. She has both a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Arts degree in Social Studies Education from the University of South Florida. Ms. Mousseau has been a social studies teacher since 1999 and has a Social Studies Grades 6-12 Florida Teaching Certificate. She is a member of the Global Schools Project at the Dr. Kiran C. Patel Center for Global Solutions at the University of South Florida. Ms. Mousseau has been a presenter at both the Florida Council for Social Studies and the National Council for Social Studies conferences. She is also an AP grader for APUSH and teaches at an IB high school in Tampa.

Mr. Williams teaches Physics, AP Physics, and all levels of mathematics. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics with a minor in Pure and Applied Mathematics and a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Southampton, U.K. Mr. Williams has over 20 years’ experience teaching students in mathematics and science in England, the Middle East, and the United States. He is currently a math and science teacher at a private school in South Tampa

Mr. Allegree teaches Physics, AP Physics, and Physical Science.  He has been a science teacher since 2007. Mr. Allegree has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Science from the University of South Florida, as well as a Masters of Education from St. Leo University.  He has a Florida Professional Teaching Certificate in Physics Grades 6-12, Biology Grades 6-12, Mathematics Grades 6-12, and Educational Leadership.  Mr. Allegree currently teaches science courses at a high school in Tampa.
